Days Plan:
Welcome to Kochi. On arrival, our representative will assist you with the transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Check in and relax. Later, you may explore the cultural highlights of the city, especially Fort Kochi, known for its colonial architecture, historic landmarks, and scenic canals that reflect its rich multicultural heritage.
In the evening, you may optionally (at your own cost) enjoy a Kathakali dance performance at a local cultural center, offering a glimpse into Kerala’s traditional art forms. Return to hotel at Kochi.
After breakfast in Kochi, proceed on a scenic drive to Munnar. Enjoy the changing landscape as you travel from the coastal plains to lush hills, passing tea gardens, rolling valleys, and mist-covered mountains. Once a summer retreat of the British, Munnar still retains its pleasant colonial charm.
On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, begin sightseeing with a visit to Mattupetty Dam, famous for its serene lake, scenic surroundings, and occasional wildlife sightings. Continue to the Tata Tea Museum at the Nallathanni Estate to learn about the tea-making process and Munnar’s rich tea heritage through displays of vintage machinery and photographs.
In the evening, enjoy leisure time to explore Munnar’s local markets and shops at your own pace.
Today after breakfast you’ll set off on excursion to discover the natural beauty of Munnar. Your first stop is Rajamala in Eravikulam National Park (Closed on Monday), home to the endangered Nilgiri tahr. Next, we’ll visit Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point, Kundala Dam, known for their stunning hill views. After a day of scenic exploration, you’ll return back to your hotel in Munnar for a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed on a scenic drive to Thekkady. En route, visit a spice plantation to learn about Kerala’s famous spices. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.
Later, explore the local area and visit Elephant Junction, where you may enjoy an elephant ride and observe elephants during their bathing rituals (activities at your own cost). In the evening, witness a traditional Kalaripayattu martial arts performance (optional, direct payment).
Return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Thekkady.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Alappuzha (Alleppey), the heart of Kerala’s famous backwaters. On arrival, board a traditional Kerala houseboat and enjoy a peaceful cruise through scenic canals and backwater villages, witnessing local life along the waterways.
In the evening, relax and enjoy a memorable overnight stay on the houseboat, anchored on the serene Vembanad Lake.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport to board your scheduled flight for your onward journey.
